Vanderbilt Imaging Services Bellevue opens, expands capabilities in West Nashville

The newly built facility, located at 8124 Sawyer Brown Road, provides a comprehensive suite of diagnostic imaging options.

Vanderbilt Imaging Services Bellevue officially opened its doors this spring, significantly expanding imaging access to communities southwest of Nashville.

The newly built facility, located at 8124 Sawyer Brown Road, provides a comprehensive suite of diagnostic imaging options including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and bone density services. The project was first announced during a groundbreaking event in August 2023 and is a strategic expansion of Vanderbilt Imaging Services’ network throughout the greater Nashville area.

“Expansion of our outpatient capacity serves the needs of the Department and Vanderbilt Health. By expanding our capabilities in a growing part of Nashville, this additional workspace can also include urgent outpatients, limiting potential unnecessary visits to the Emergency Department at Vanderbilt University Hospital,” said Daniel Brown, MD, professor and chair of Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences.

Vanderbilt Health providers or those with access through Vanderbilt Health Connect can place imaging orders directly in eStar, and patients will be contacted for scheduling.

Patients and referring providers can reach VIS’ dedicated team of schedulers by calling 615-936-3606 between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturdays. VIS offers weekday, evening, and weekend hours for imaging studies and can facilitate same-day or next-day access for urgent needs.

“It is tremendously exciting to extend the reach of Vanderbilt Imaging Services’ state-of-the art technology and capabilities. Our team of friendly, experienced technologists and supporting staff is ready to care for you and your patients. The Vanderbilt Department of Radiology provides subspecialty diagnostic interpretations for studies completed across our locations,” said EB Jackson, president of Vanderbilt Imaging Services and New Light Imaging.
